Developmental Screening Overview (4HRS) Approval # CKO-30248 This training is designed for child care professionals as an overview of developmental screening and its benefits. This course will explain the developmental screening process, MSDE/OCC regulation, effective communication with families and referral processes. This training will assist with the identification of developmental 
screening tools, appropriate collection of information and the purpose for on-going screening of children. The childcare professional will be made aware of resources that are available in their community to assist providers, families and children with ongoing needs related to development.

This course is based on early childhood developmental theories with emphasis on how early childhood educators can gain a better understanding of young children in a classroom setting. Participants will learn strategies for observing children; how to collect, interpret and apply data to set baseline and formulate individualize child focused curriculum. Participants will learn how to recognize learning styles suitable for each child, and strategies for connecting with students.

Designed specifically to satisfy annual licensing renewal for licensed professional. Curse content and certification consists of 3hrs two of the following categories: Child Development, Curriculum, Health, Safety, Nurtition or Professionalism 
COMAR Child Supervision Requirements (HSN 3hrs) Approval #CKO-30428
This course teaches COMAR supervision requirements, common compliance mistakes in safety management practices relating to illness prevention including practices and procedures for sanitation. Participants will understand discover a wide-range of common hazards including visible and hidden dangers that can potentially harm children and their providers and trigger non-compliance citations. Participants will learn: what constitutes adequate supervision of children; How to identify physical, psychological and environmental contaminants in a household or center that can pose hazard to children and how to reduce their risks.
45 Hour Infant Toddler Care Methods and Materials (CD45Approval #PSO-154365

This course satisfies the Maryland State Department of Education's infant and toddler care and developmnent course 
requirement for family childcare providers. Here students will learn the stages of developmental milestones (social and emotional, language, cognitive, and physical) for children birth through age three
45 Clock Hours Child Growth and Development (Birth - Age 8-12 Approval #PSO-154365 

This course satisfies the Maryland State Department of Education licensing requirement for center staff and professionals working in the early care and education field. The course provides critical information 
necessary for success in the care of young of young children. The modules covers the major concepts, principles, theories and research related to the development of children, infants through age twelve. 
MEDICATION ADMINSTRATION TRAINING. (6HR
This 6-hour course on how to administer medication and treat Asthma is approved for 6 hours of child care licensing education credit. The course is conducted by a registered RN and MSDE certified Medication and Asthma Administration inistration Trainer.

Maryland EXCELS is a voluntary Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS). A QRIS is a program that awards ratings to family providers, center-based and public school child care programs, A QRIS is a program that awards ratings to family providers, center-based and
public school child care programs, and school age before and after school programs that meet increasingly higher standards of quality in key areas. Maryland EXCELS has three goals: 
• To recognize early care and school age education programs that provide quality care

and caring interactions with children. BAS looks at best business and professional practices in family childcare.  Using the BAS as a guide, participants learn a systematic process for collecting data about their programs and how that information can be turned into an action plan for program improvement."
